The X-shaped string layout is more than just structural aesthetics. Each interlocking angle is a metaphor for the quartet of metamorphosis:
1. Cobalt blue glazed beads - the dark hibernation of cocooning
2. Amber filigree - rivers of light that nourish metamorphosis
3. Silver Flower Spacer - the first fragile breath of new life.
4. Butterfly Pendant - frozen in eternal flight.
I hand-selected the ice-cracked glazed beads - those tiny bubbles frozen in their ascent, watercolor swooshes of graduated color. The butterfly pendant allows each heartbeat to encounter a different flow of light.
